Brookie Bracelet - Boulder Chrysoprase

It's that time of year when we're all daydreaming about spring, open water, long sunny days, and maybe catching a fish or two. This special bracelet features a pair of brook trout - hand-sawn and hand-textured right down to the last itty bitty detail, and a super earthy boulder chrysoprase with a gorgeous green river cutting through it and rich, warm brown host rock. A hand-forged clasp and links give about an 1 inch of adjustability to this bracelet, it will fit wrists that are 5.5 to 6.5 inches in diameter - but happy to add a few extra links to resize her for ya! Pictures show this magnificent stone in bright and low light - she's quite the chameleon!

One September afternoon I sat just upstream from where the cold water river feeds into the big lake. I’d spent the day working deep down a bush road high up in the Algoma mountain ranges here in northern Ontario. The water was so full of spawning brookies that they were swimming on top of each other. It was a beautiful day, the sun beating down on my back, my body bone tired from a full day of good, honest work, and I had such a peaceful feeling of wonder & belonging in my heart. I hope this ring evokes in you some of the sweet magic of September.
